About Col Kaushal Kashyap(SF, NSG), Shaurya Chakra
If something isn’t done, it means we have chosen not to do it.

Col Kaushal Kashyap, Shaurya Chakra is an ex Special Forces Officer with an experience of executing sensitive operations for 20 years. He also has the unique distinction of commanding one of the most elite Commando Units of the Nation, the 52nd Special Action Group of the National Security Guards.

He is a recipient of the Shaurya Chakra, third highest award for gallantry in peace time, he has also been conferred with:

  • Chief of Army Staff Commendation Card
  • General Officer Commanding in Chief, Eastern Command Commendation Card
  • Commendation cards from Director General NSG twice
  • Commendation Card at United Nations Mission in Congo twice
  • Meritorious Service Medal number 3 from Govt of Mongolia
